Lemmy Kilmister: Lead singer of Motörhead and revered by millions of fans across the globe as a legend, a pioneer and a living embodiment of the true rock and roll lifestyle. In this critically acclaimed feature documentary, directors Greg Olliver and Wes Orshoski go on the road with the Motörhead frontman to explore the amazing and often controversial life of this heavy metal icon. Over four booze and drug-fuelled decades, Kilmister's career has collided with many of the touchstone moments in rock history. He saw the Beatles live at the infamous Cavern Club, served as a roadie for Jimi Hendrix, mentored Sid Vicious and played in both Merseybeat and psychedelic rock bands. Ultimately he became known for pioneering the fusion of punk and metal, thus providing the inspiration for Motörhead's brand of thrash metal. For three years the filmmakers follow the restless road warrior from his cluttered Hollywood apartment to the arenas of Europe. The documentary provides rare insight into Kilmister's private life, filming intimate and reflective moments at his home, on the road and on stage. Lemmy features interviews with A-list artists from across the musical spectrum including Dave Grohl, Alice Cooper, Slash, Metallica, Joan Jett and The Clash's Mick Jones, all of whom provide fascinating insight into the making of one of rock music's most enduring legends.
