New early research has discovered that tears
could be used to detect breast cancer.
Potentially, it’s a life-changing finding.
But the researchers need more tears for further trials.
So Rialto Channel is inviting women to a unique
cinema & research event where you
can donate your tears,
because nothing makes you cry like a good movie.
Academy Cinemas, 44 Lorne Street, Auckland CBD
(underneath the Auckland Central City Library).
Tuesday 1st November 2016.
We’ll be screening the film Brooklyn at
12:30pm, 5.00pm and 8:00pm (Note: the 8:00pm session is now sold out).
Wait - how are you going to collect my tears?
The test is not at all painful. The researcher
will gently press on the skin below one eye and
lightly place the end of a strip of absorbent fabric
in your lower eyelid. You simply close your eye
for about 3 minutes before the researcher
removes the strip.

We are looking for women aged 18 plus for
this event. If you're not eligible to donate your

feel free to donate to the NZ Breast Cancer
