Vishnu (Abhay Deol) who wants nothing more than to avoid following his father into the hair tonic business. Instead he convinces a family friend to let him drive his ancient mobile cinema truck - a 1940s Chevy across India where it will be sold for scrap. The major problem here is that Vishnu is hardly qualified to drive a truck. He only has a bike license and he doesn’t have any idea that when he inevitably breaks down in the middle of the desert he isn’t just going to be able to call for help on his mobile phone. When he does break down his saviour is a kid. The Boy (Mohammed Faisal) is a total smartarse and he walks to the nearest village and finds a homeless man with a knack for old engines named Om (Satish Kaushik) to come and help. All he asks for in return is a ride to the local fair - not that he has any idea where it is - and while a good mechanic he has no sense of direction. Vishu doesn’t have much respect for Om but this starts to turn around when in order to get freedom from the local cops who discover him driving with no license they use the mobile cinema to show a film for the locals and get their freedom. He later comes into contact with The Woman (Tannishtha Chatterjee) who further gives Vishu a newfound respect for the desert people. The four of them set off on their continuing road trip to find Om’s fair.
