INDEPENDENT FILM FOR INDEPENDENT MINDS

After years of campaigning, Chris (Edmund Davies), a young man with learning difficulties is released from prison after the conviction was overturned. Chris was put away for the murder of a teenage girl some years ago, and because one of the key witnesses, a child at the time, now admits her testimony was completely fabricated the case is being reopened. Chris goes home, back to his mother who always believed in his innocence, but also back to the community that was convinced of his guilt. Now the community has to face the fact they were wrong and that the killer is still in their midst. DI Hazel Norton (Pauline Quirke), DS Eve Granger (Jemma Redgrave) and DC Ajay Roychowdury (Ace Bhatti) move in to reinvestigate. How could Chris have been wrongly accused like this? Meanwhile, Wicklow (Matthew Kelly) has been stabbed by an inmate. Eve and Norton go to investigate and are concerned the stabbing is another of Wicklow's twisted schemes for attention...but it seems this is just the start of Wicklow's worries.
